DaiCon - A Celebration of Japanese Modern Visual Culture

Seiyuu Exhibition

The term "Seiyuu" refers to Japanese voice actors that work in radio, television, or movies. Seiyuus perform voice-overs for non-Japanese movies, provide narration, and also work as anime and video game character actors. The term "seiyuu" is conventionally used among English-speaking fans to denote the Japanese actor.

This exhibition aims to expose our guests to a whole new segment of celebrities besides actors and singers. Japan produces 60% of the world's animated series. This allows seiyuus to have incredible fame and perform voice acting as a full time career. Some of them branch into related fields such as acting in live-action Japanese series and some branch into the music industry like our special guest, Chihara Minori.

We will be featuring some of the more renowned seiyuus of the anime industry, so be sure to check it out!
